- Do I need a Stripe account?
- Yes — Stripe Connect is the payout pipeline. The onboarding takes about 5 minutes via Stripe's standard hosted flow.
- How fast do I get paid?
- On Stripe's standard payout schedule (typically 2 business days for US bank accounts). Park Sync doesn't hold your money.
- Can I work at multiple parks?
- Yes — each park sets its own commission split + invites you separately. Your availability + earnings are tracked per park.
- What if a patron cancels?
- Refund windows are park-configurable (typically 24h or 48h before lesson start). Outside the window, no refund. Inside, the patron is refunded and you don't earn for that slot.
- How are refunds handled?
- Park admin processes refunds via the admin console. Stripe reverses the charge automatically.
- Can I set different rates for different lesson types?
- Lesson types (private, semi-private, clinic, junior program) are park-configured. Your hourly rate × commission split is the same across types unless your park admin overrides.
- What if I'm a W-2 employee at the park, not a contractor?
- Park Sync supports both modes. Your park admin sets your `compensation_mode`. Employees skip Stripe Connect — payouts run through park payroll. The portal still tracks your lessons + hours.
